Inspired by the elegance of the peacock, the Kujaku Knife Pleat Dress is a harmonious blend of artistry and timeless design. The delicately embroidered cutwork yoke is a striking focal point, leading into overlapping knife pleats that flow effortlessly into a graceful A-line silhouette. Introducing the Kujaku Knife Pleat Dress, crafted from luxurious cotton silk fabric in a sophisticated ivory hue. Featuring an embroidered cutwork yoke, delicate appliqué detailing, and a back keyhole opening with Mother of Pearl buttons. Perfect for an elegant and exclusive look. 

Each piece is a masterpiece of artistry, with over 45 hours dedicated to intricate embroidery alone, followed by meticulous stitching—an ode to the time, skill, and dedication poured into its creation.

THE DESIGNER STORY

Inspired by the Japanese ideology of wabi-sabi, referring to that which is imperfect, impermanent, aged, humble and authentic, Ahmev carries an aesthetic that embraces the value of the passing of time, the seasoning of time and the elements, the handmade and the simple. Wabi-sabi is a way of being open to emotions and of acceptance; a state of mind and a state of feeling. The philosophy of wabi sabi is embodied in the design process, being showcased in the finished designs through the subtle hues, natural materials, frayed edges and the visible stitching and asymmetry.
